Steven's twenty-fourth

Yesterday night was a party night! Yes, I had two invitations on the same day to two different parties. One was to Senk Chung's, the other one was to Steven's. For those who do not know, Steven and I are from the same hometown and his sister, Christine, and I are bestmates during primary school. He's just like big bro to me, in fact to most people I suppose. So I have another bro whom I address as 'kor'.

Most of the guests there were seniors besides me and Bing Chi. I was feeling kinda lost when I first got there. You know, it's sometimes hard to join in a conversation I know nothing about or less familiar with, and obviously made me felt like a foreigner in a stranded land. Good thing there were a few familiar people there so I was less bored. I was busy eyeing on Joanne's fluffy poodle which resembles a soft toy but since I have a big phobia for dogs, I had to stay away.

I stayed back till the cake cutting ceremony was over and had to call it a day considering I had to travel to Muar the day after(which is today).

And finally, blessed birthday Steven kor!

Senky's twenty-third!

Birthdays come and go each year. The best birthday gifts focus exclusively on the birthday person. It's about making the birthday baby the center of attention. As for Senk Chung who has just turned 23, the final resolution that came about was throwing him into the pool. Don't ask me why cuz I have absolutely no idea why he has become the yearly target of this act. When he turned 22, he was chucked into the fountain at KMC. 23, the venue changed to the pool of MMMC. I would have thought, perhaps Senky isn't the man who would throw a fit after a whole load of pranks done on him. You're right. He's pleasant like that. To cut the story short, he was misleaded to the sport's complex after LAN class where everyone had gathered and pooh! Off he jumped, down the chlorinated pool.

Alright, considering we aren't mean people, we ought to to throw him a memorable celebration besides throwing him into the water. We had a luxurious steamboat bash at Johnny's!

Last but not least, happy birthday Senk Chung! On your birthday, I wish you much pleasure and joy. May your days be filled with delight!

ECG Made Easy

Before I entered med school, the idea about ECG(electrocardiogram) was nothing but a machine which displays a person's heart beat, whether the person is alive or not. Very much of a layman's knowledge. The typical picture portrayed in movies and dramas, such that when a graph went flat and the beeping sound rings, we perceived that signal as death. No, it wasn't wrong. But that oscillating graph holds a more significant role than just death. It was hard to comprehend how the heart function in a dynamic manner with its electrolyte constitutions, electrical impulses and mechanical contractions come into a major play to keep us alive. I never knew the importance of ECG until I learned how to interpret the simple looking yet relevant graph. Even with the help of several references, I failed to fully compromise its complexity.

Had a rather productive class with Dr. Anoop, with the purpose of learning how to interpret an electrocardiography. It was an extra class upon request from the group. One and a half hours sounded short yet the time was ample to make me fathom the topic broadly with just 5 pages of hand written notes. Pretty much easier than reading from the reference books which confused my tangled mind all the more. After this session, it was clear that I should no longer regard the ECG as a tool displaying just death but in a meaningful way, it tells the life of a man as well through the activities of his heart. Movies and dramas can sometimes be quite misleading, huh?

Objectives achieved!

It's RED for Christmas!

This week has been way too busy for me. To summarize what I had from Monday to Friday, I'm currently posted to the medicine department in Muar. Sleeping at 1am and having to wake up 6am hadn't been easy at all. I left home at 6.45am and returned at 6pm. In addition to this, the 2 hours bus ride to and fro Muar GH daily made me speechlessly worn out. Sigh. Pardon the haggard look if you see me around. Schedule is really tight for the coming weeks. 3 more weeks of Muar to tolerate with. :( Sigh again. As much as I'm sighing right now, am determined to make the best out of this.

So much of traveling and I just reached home from KL few hours ago. Was there to visit my bro and to shop with my parents. The sales are going on and we were all prepped up for a little Christmas splurge. Decided to go in the shades of red this year after purchasing a clutch with metal sling from Charles and Keith.

REDREDRED

Dinner at Kim Gary

I was feeling all jolly when I heard the Christmas carols being played at the malls. The mood is back again after some time of hiatus. Alright, till the next update. Gotta be preparing for tomorrow's work.

Siti's Surprised Party

Our dear Siti turned twobigtwo last Saturday!! Sadly, all of us went homesweethome right after the exam. So to in order to make it up to her, we decided to surprise her with a birthday cake tonight! The initial plan was to throw the bash at Secret Recipe but the whole of group F2 had arranged to meet up and do some revision at the campus. We had to go according to the latter plan and tadaa!! That little girl was all astounded when we brought the cake right up to her. Siti's the girl who is of great importance to the group. Like a savior, she saved us from knotty and nasty questions from the lecturers. Without her, I guess we would have been screwed right to the edge. Here we are, trying to give her a memorable day and best of all wishes that she will remember always and forever. :)

Bits of Awesomeness

Received a call from Erin this morning to accompany her for the Chinese Highschool Canteen Day cuz she has sponsored coupons from her mother. The blazing sun was simply intolerable to us and hence only drinks and popiah we bought. Hurriedly we left.

She was craving for sushi and we had sushi for lunch! We had immense talk about traveling, in time to come. All the ideas about backpacking and couchsurf together. Winnie came to join us later on. Sigh, am absolutely eating too much recently which I think I ought to cut down my enormous appetite.

I'll just put up the pictures and call it a day. Good night!

2012

It was a splendid night out with my lovely parents, godsis Eilyn and Jeslyn, godbro HonWee, soon-to-be-bro-in-low and aunt LingKiang. First time in history, we're watching a movie in the cinema together with my dad and mom coming along. Sis insisted that they should come! I mean, my parents did brought the family to watch movies when we were young. But they stopped accompanying us after we found our own friends to watch movies with. Everyone had been telling me how good 2012 was. True indeed, just as awesome as those people whom I enjoyed the evening with.

At the end of the movie, I was left flabbergasted and couldn't stop praising that this is a iwanttowatchitagain movie. Boy, it caught us all edgy yet many of its scenes are funny. Indubitably reminding me about the story of the Noah's Ark except that this is with a more sophisticated essence.

By the way, here's a little something which caught my attention before leaving the theatre and it has been playing repeatedly on my player. The closing theme song for 2012 by Adam Lambert. It's really nice.
